I had the unique opportunity to travel to Brazil to teach cake decorating classes at a local orphanage. Learning this new vocational skill, provided an introduction into the culinary field opening up employment options in the future.

These girls taught me so much but here are a few of the highlights:

2. 10 lbs of buttercream and 47lbs of​ fondant in a checked bag can survive an international flight

3. You don't need an oven to make cake, an open flame works just fine.​
